Transitions: The Space in Between the Poses
In this workshop, we will focus on how we move from posture to posture in a Vinyasa class, slowing down these movements to make the transitions more mindful and specific. We will use the breath as our guide to transition, eventually the inhales guiding us through one movement and the exhale the next. The class will be sequenced around building strength and mobility, focusing on core stability, glute and hamstring engagement, and overall flexibility in the spine, hips, and hamstrings. As we break down these movements, using both the strength that we’ve built and the parts of the body that we’ve opened, we will elevate the spaces in between the poses to feel like poses themselves.
